Reaktor Player

Reaktor Player lets you work with a wide range of audio synthesizers and special effects tools. The software is a stripped-down version of Reaktor, an advanced and highly successful modular sound studio. It is meant to be an introduction to the high-end sounds of Reaktor and it is designed to be a straightforward solution. You can set it up and start playing in no time.

The software is available for Windows and Mac and it is offered free of charge. Besides the core components, the setup file comes with two optional codecs as well. Even if you include the codecs, the installation process should not take more than a minute. The hardware requirements are modest, so you may run this program on any modern-day computer.

Besides the main working area, the user interface presents a file browser as well, from which you can load instrument files, by simply dragging and dropping them. When freshly installed, the software doesn't have any tools to offer, bu you can download the Reactor Factory Selection, which is free, with some limitations and it includes three tools. It is worth mentioning that you can generate over 200 sounds with these tools.

The Carbon 2 synthesizer, the Newscool drum module and the SpaceDrone sound generator are quite easy to use. If you are not ready to start using the Reaktor sound studio, Reaktor Player makes it easier to work with these tools. They offer a rich sound palette and you can extend the software's functionality with more instruments.
